Consulting
I can help in an online capacity, or in person, if you don't mind picking up the traveling expenses. Pricing is negotiable depending on the need. Years ago, I used to charge a flat rate of $100/hr, but that was when iPads were a new technology and that's obviously not the case any more. These days, I enjoy getting to meet other educators, to see what they are doing, and to offer any help that my experience might offer.
Recent Qualification: Apple Learning Coach, September 2023.
Everything that used to appear on this page, except for the links to my old publications (I call them "old" because they were completed many years ago, and I have a feeling Apple will soon orphan it's iBooks program--or at least the ability to self publish) was from the great days of when I was an Edtech, and though I still have a toe in that game as demonstrated by the new qualification above, I have transitioned into the pure technology side, acting as the Director of Technology at Wichita Collegiate School, since 2021. This has added to my skills many of the larger systems considerations such as networks, phones, software and hardware management, security and access control, and working with MSPs. It's been an interesting transition. Our campus is a mixed environment with both Apple devices and PCs, and a mandate for users to use the Google suite as a standard--we do everything except Chromebooks here.
One additional thing that I have maintained over the years is creating and teaching Computer Science. This year (2023-24) I'm teaching 2 sections of AP Computer Science A. But I have a lot of experience with other platforms like Scratch, Alice, App Inventor 2, javascript, Arduino programming, and some robotics programming.
Check out my App Programming for Apple's iOS textbook, made with iBooks Author, in the iBook Store, or The First iPad School: An Honest Story.
